Tennis Podcast By Roddick

Andy Roddick breaking down the finals of the Roland Garros 2024 in this video was really insightful. You can catch it here

For people who are unfamiliar he used to play tennis professionally and a former world no. 1.

I was catching the Roland Garros via 9news which is an Australian media. I was watching quite closely and definitely seeing the pressure and important breakpoints and the approach that the both players were trying to shake up to their advantage and not keep their opponent on a predictable game play of sorts.

This podcast definitely helped to expand more insights to whatever existing knowledge you might have read from the game. Although it can be abit nerdy to analyse the game but perhaps it will interest the more analytical tennis players reading this blog.

I particularly liked the second set onwards where Zverev was definitely putting the pressure by keeping higher and deeper balls to the other side of the court and it really worked well to secure him the advantage over Alcaraz. Seeing also the not so positive feedback from Alcaraz during that play from his expression and body language was interesting how a game play change can sway from one side to the other.

I won't talk about his points given he shares it better directly from the video so check it out if you enjoy podcasts.
