How to Relieve Aches and Pains After Adult Tennis Classes: Tips and Tricks
That painful ache or knot discomfort that appears after a tennis session, how we all want to get rid of it and just simply let it phase off. There really isn't any magic to getting rid of this but to adopt some good habits apart from the enjoyable rally of hitting a ball on the tennis court.
Start the day with some stretches before your game or better still on non-tennis days too. I tried Hatha Yoga in the past and it certainly helped to relief a longer term ache especially if you do have a sporty lifestyle.
Ice bath would also be a far more painful way to recover but some athletes do that after intense sport and it seemed to work wonders too. However, i doubt many of us have ice baths at home simply because its just not a practice we do on a regular basis, so it could be a harder thing to make it a habit.
Warm baths and showers would be easier and it helps to also make your muscle more relaxed so you can definitely consider it as a short term relief. If there's one way to improve well-being, foam rolling could just be your answer to those aches. I do that quite regularly and you'll be surprised how much of a relief it helps getting those muscles rolled especially when they're too tight.
Hydration is needless to say so you will just need to ensure you've got a bottle near you at all times to serve as a reminder. Getting a restful night takes discipline especially when we just want to scroll the IG or TikTok nearing the end of the night to catch up on alone time but diminishing our rest time unknowingly.
Finally, listen well to your body handling the pressures and speed of recovery. Find that balance and not put yourself at risk of any injury.
